Woman. Red Light.

This photo, entitled "Woman. Red Light." is from Project 365 — an attempt by Leonid Mamchenkiv to create one photograph every day of the year. As this project is only a few days old, it remains to be seen whether his other photographs will be up to par with this one. Whatever the case, the contrasts in this photograph are stark. It is very simple, but very beautiful.

The feeling I receive upon looking at this is one of dystopia; the bright light and the abstract feminine icon conjures up a future a la Blade Runner. But then I realize today is the future.
